Yahoo! News - Grieving father spends $1 million nest egg to investigate Accutane I've taken accutane and must say that the parents(or caretaker) and patient are provided with information before the drug is prescribed that includes all known possible side effects however rare including liver problems. I did fine. I don't remember if depression was on the list or not. I took the drug in early 1998.
